Decay reporting from the Cauldron and Bonded By Blood Chained to the Beast "Mini" Mini Uk Tour,
Chris just went to rock a piss and apparently Ian has to rock a shit too, so I'm stuck to watch the van and since Ali and Lucy have been on my case to write some "blog" shit, I figured I'd take this opportunity. So, we landed at Deathrow airport Thursday morning and we're confused as usual as to where to pick up our guitars from the "special handling" section, but thanks to Andrew WK and his buddy who pointed them out for us, they were just lying there on the floor in the middle of the baggage claim section. It can be really easy to steal shit at the airport.
We just rolled into Edinburgh and its shit raining and we've been in England for two days so far with Bonded by Blood. We got a seperate van as we suspect these dudes could be carrying the swine flu. So we played in Glasgow last nite which was pretty alright. Drank beer, met a couple bros on the street wearing Goat Horn and Cauldron shirts. We were all rocking a round of van boners on the long drive up from London to Glasgow. You know how van boners just show up out of nowhere eh? Ian's leading the puke count with 2 out of 2 rest stops. We went out with the BBB guys on Thursday nite to see another earache band SSS which made for a nice photo op. Then we got into a drunken wrestling match with the Bonded guys. I'm still the heavy metal wrestling champ. Now we're sitting around Bannerman's in Edinburgh drinking some soda pops and waiting for the OK to load in. We gotta wait 4 hours or something because there's another early show that has to finish first, so we're checking out the local heavy metal record store soon which may or may not have vinyl and then do some castle bangin.
Until the shit hits the fan,

MAY 10...
Sweaty gig last nite in Edinburgh. Had to overplay to make up for the shit sound on stage. Overbanged it too. It was pretty metal. Met some fans and made a few new ones. Local record store was pretty shit. They had this record called MASTERS OF MOLTEN METAL that featured "16 soft rock hits" like Elton John, what the frig? Anyway, the boys had a hard time getting there due to the lite Corona's on the rider, but Jason managed to pass out drunk anyway just in time for load out at 4am in true chi fashion. We piled into our van, Bonded By Blood into their swine flu containment unit on wheels and tailgated and swerved straight from Edinburgh back to London. The Scottish hillsides look pretty metal at 6am with mist rolling everywhere. Highlight was stopping at the Welcome Break with the giant Burger King sign with arrows only to discover that it hadn't actually been built yet! Rite on! But yeah mostly we just slept and that's pretty boring, but we're getting rite pumped up for the gig tonite at the Purple Turtle in Camden.
See you at the fucken gig!
We're off to get some Tesco Premiums and crank some Morning After by Ratt!

MAY 11...
Interesting gig last nite in Camden! Took a stroll through the park beforehand, beers in hand, did a bit of record shopping although not much newer stuff since we checked it out in Feb. Great turnout at the show, the bangers were out in full force even on a Sunday. Biggest surprise was when Kevin Heybourne from Angel Witch came to the show with a few friends! Had a few beers with him and took a few photos, he said he really enjoyed the show which was very cool, and that for a second he thought he was watching himself playing on stage! Of course when a lot of people come to a show there's gonna be a few wankers such as the thieving bastards who were trying to take shit off the merch table and being dicks to our friends. Fuck 'em!
Got our photos taken across the street from the club and did a few interviews, including one with Jerry Ewing and another one with Bonded By Blood which was fucking hilarious. It involved listening to tunes and trying to guess who it was, the point of which was to provide a little anecdote about it, but of course we took it as a serious competiton. Let me just say Cauldron's got the belt! Naysayers think it was in our favour thoough... Played well overall and getting used to the rental gear... Mutant were great and BBB was a flailing mass of hair and sweat.
In London, leaving for Leeds in an hour or two, being treated to the new Municipal Waste album by Talita.
See you in hell!

MAY 12...
Played Leeds last night, uhhhh, decent turn out. Partied at a shady chinese all nighter. Punched the shit out of the boxing game and lost. Ate french fried pizza. Tried not to get in a fight with the locals. Went back to the club who were nice enough to let us sleep there. thanks dudes! Loaded out at noon and drove to Nottingham. Pretty uneventful drive, just the usual tailgating. Met up with the Earache lads and went out for dinner before heading out record shopping with Dan the man. Picked up such gems such as Jon Mikl Thor - Wild In the Streets and Metal For Muthas 1, among others. Got a good buzz on and did a photo shoot and interview. Then we raided the Earache warehouse and now we're sitting in the hotel room writing this up. Going out for a couple more pints before the show. Tonite's our last show in England with our Mexican bros Bonded By Blood! ... Adios!
MAY 13... Bonded By Booze
The Nottingham show was basically a train wreck last night, easily the worst sound ever! But that's how it goes when you're playing in front of your label... People were into it though and It didn't seem to disrupt the celebrations! White Hazzard were rad dudes and Bonded By Blood were on fire again leaving snapped necks in their wake to prove it. That was our last show with BBB and we'll have to apologize for bailing on the load out, but Digby was a mad man on an alcoholic mission from hell and was determined to get us out and get us rite fucked, as soon as possible. We said goodbye to BBB and ended up at some bar with questionable music and harassed the dj to play some decent shit. He never did play Dream Warriors, asshole! Around 3 am we stumbled down the street to get something to soak up the booze and Jason passed out face first into his food. Not the first time either! We lost our hotel key but the guy at the front desk was cool about giving us greasy chi's a new one. A very early and hungover train rolled in this am to drag our worthless carcasses back to London where we're now pretty much completely worked over. We had to sober up quick though cause as soon as we got back we were lucky enough to head over to Total Rock radio to talk with a couple of legendary dudes, Neal Kay and Malcolm Dome. Hanging out with Neal and Malcolm was definitely the icing on the cake of our UK jaunt. Neal discovered Iron Maiden in 1979 and played us the 2-track Maiden demo given to him by Steve Harris, of which only 2 copies exist... needless to say it was fucken cool! We followed up the Total Rock visit with a trip to Camden Market, picked up a couple of leather gauntlets and went back to the Purple Turtle to get a record Ian forgot there... sadly someone had already claimed it. Shitty! Anyway we're just hanging out watching some movies before our flight home tomorrow afternoon. Thanks UK, it's been a lotta fun and we'll see ya soon!
